Abstract:
The implementation of partially adaptive space-time adaptive processing (STAP) algorithms are essential for real-time implementation in an airborne GMTI radar system. While this is paramount, that implementation must be accomplished within the confines of a cost-effective radar system. The research examines the performance of partially adaptive STAP algorithms using real data from an airborne multimode two-channel GMTI system used by Defence Research and Development Canada - Ottawa (DRDC-O). This investigation will quantify and compare the performance for specific pre-Doppler and post-Doppler STAP algorithms from real data. In addition, the post-Doppler technique will be assessed in relation to the fully adaptive case.
