Abstract:
Bistatic SAR uses transmitter and receiver flying distinct platforms. There are two principal kinds of algorithms for computing bistatic SAR image: temporal domain as fast back projection or frequency domain synthesis as w-k algorithm. The latter is more computationally efficient, particularly in monostatic case when used in computing images with wide bandwidth. Unfortunately, to compute this algorithm, nominal trajectories are assumed to be rectilinear: this results in error of phase. In monostatic case, a compensation stage can be computed with a geometrical approach. A mathematical approach is presented to extend this idea to the bistatic case.
