Abstract:
The new ARTINO (Airborne Radar for Three-dimensional Imaging and Nadir Observation) system, developed at FGANFHR, allows to image a direct overflown area in three dimensions using a small, dismountable, mobile, and inexpensive UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). A raw data simulator including a scene generator was developed in order to evaluate the ARTINO principle and to create input data for the development of the ARTINO processor. A description of the ARTINO principle, the scene generator, and the raw data simulator is given in this paper. First simulation results are presented.
