Abstract:
This paper compares two different bistatic approaches. For the Tandem configuration the equivalency of Rocca’s smile and Loffeld’s bistatic formula is proven. The implicit result of both approaches indicates that bistatic processing can be done by quasi monostatic processing after initially convolving the raw data with a bistatic deformation term. The bistatic processing quality will be evaluated by measuring the geometric registration, amplitude and resolution, ISLR and PSLR of simulated point targets.
