Abstract:
In conventional SAR system high azimuth resolution and wide swath width are parameters that cannot be improved simultaneously. A High-Resolution Wide-Swath (HRWS) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a new concept to reconcile those two contradictory requirements. In this paper a concept for simulation of HRWS SAR systems is presented. The simulation is developed to estimate the performance of the systems regarding the influence of various distortions.
