Abstract:
An ellipsoid shell submitted to a steady state electromagnetic field is considered. The ellipsoid is assigned constant permeability μ and conductivity σ and the propagation medium is considered linear, homogeneous and isotropic. The electric and magnetic field components in the shell are calculated. The emerging differential equations are solved using the method of separation of variables.
