Abstract:
For pharmaceutical drug discovery and safety pharmacology novel micro system-based electrode arrays for electrophysiological compound testing have been fabricated. By combinating of polyimide foils structured by thinfilm technology with micro-moulded micro fluidic substrates perforated micro electrode arrays were developed. The perforation enables stable cell and tissue contacting and improves the conditions for single-cell and slice recording.
