Abstract:
We evaluate the performance of a novel prototype analogue equaliser IC in a 50G-PON application scenario and compare with digital signal processing. We obtain a link budget of 33dB and the analogue IC offers 2.2dB ONU sensitivity margin to the 50G-PON standards.
