Abstract:
We demonstrate single-lane 225 Gbit/s PAM-8 O-band transmission over a 50 km SMF for 30 GHz bandwidth-limited long-reach PONs. We report a power budget of about 29.4 dB at the SD-FEC limit of 2×10(-2) by employing a high-gain InAs/InGaAs quantum-dot SOA and Volterra nonlinear equalizer.
