Silicon Photonic Programmable Processor Based on Mach-Zehnder and Micro-ring modulators

Abstract:
We demonstrated a programmable photonic integrated chip. It consists of a cascaded Mach-Zehnder modulators and multi microring modulators. By tuning the operation states of them reconfigurably, it can be employed for generating high-speed microwave pulse trains, synthesising high-fre-quency electrical signals, and digital optical communication.
