Abstract:
We demonstrate III-V-on-Si Externally-Modulated Lasers co-integrated with SOAs, delivering up to 16 mW of on-chip power, 22 GHz of 3-dB bandwidth and can transmit NRZ-OOK signals at 32 Gbps over a 5 km SSMF.
