BTO-enhanced Silicon Photonics for Next-Generation Transceivers

Abstract:
Barium titanate (BTO) integrated with commercial silicon photonics enable higher performance modulators in a scalable platform. With lower Vpi and insertion loss, as well as higher bandwidth than silicon modulators, BTO modulators can deliver the performance required for next generation transceivers.
