Abstract:
We present a flexible coupled optoelectronic oscillator capable of conducting both frequency hopping and phase locking operations while minimizing phase noise. A typical phase noise as low as - 140 dBc/Hz@ 10 kHz across 2-18 GHz, and fractional Allan deviation of 6.1 x 10-12 at 1s were observed.
