Abstract:
We propose a method based on a novel model for quantifying the penalty of equalisationenhanced phase noise with consideration of lasers’ coloured frequency noise and spurious components. Both simulation and experimental results prove the method’s effectiveness for various lasers and dispersion scenarios.
