Abstract:
In Germany, the number of conventional power plants declines while the number of volatile renewable power plants increases, giving rise to the need for storage plants. Although, the potential of hydrogen storage power plants to replace conventional power plants has already been investigated, this work takes a look at the internal structure and control of the hydrogen storage power plant. The potential of voltage margin method for internal power flow management and DC bus control has been investigated, showing a quick response behavior within the designated voltage limits on the DC bus.
