Abstract:
In the ever-evolving landscape of Earth observation, Capella Space has emerged as a pioneering force since the launch of its constellation in 2020. This constellation has revolutionized our capacity to acquire very high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data with unprecedented flexibility and agility. This paper delves into the profound impact of Capella Space’s SAR imagery on various industries and applications, showcasing how this innovative technology has opened up new realms of possibility that were previously unattainable with legacy constellations. Capella Space’s constellation boasts a remarkable capability to capture high-resolution SAR imagery with remarkable speed and precision. Its flexible imaging service allows for rapid tasking and acquisition, ensuring that the right data is available when it is needed the most. This work will explore how Capella Space’s SAR imagery has been harnessed by a wide range of partners, and internally, in applications that were previously constrained by the limitations of traditional constellations.
