Abstract:
We present the baseline algorithms and Level-1 and Level-2 L-band science products, planned for NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission. We discuss the implications of SweepSAR with variable pulse repetition frequency on acquired data, focusing on algorithms and image calibration. The long wavelength of the L-SAR instrument increases the sensitivity of the observations to ionosphere. We discuss the ionospheric impacts on L-band observations and the baselined algorithms to improve the geolocation and mitigate ionospheric phase from interferometric products. We present a general overview of NISAR science products designed to address NISAR science requirements over solid earth, cryosphere, and ecosystem regions all over the globe.
