Abstract:
Inaccurate observation models and propagation effects will cause phase errors in the collected synthetic aperture radar (SAR) echo data, and result in the defocusing of SAR images. Sparse SAR imaging is a technique that combines sparse signal processing with microwave imaging. It can improve the recovered image quality of sparse considered scene from full- or down-sampled echo. In this paper, a novel sparse autofocusing imaging method for stripmap SAR is proposed. It combines the phase gradient autofocus (PGA) with sparse recovery method, and achieves the accurate phase error estimation and sparse imaging, simultaneously. Experimental results based on real data verify the proposed method.
