Abstract:
The spatiotemporal information regarding drainage is crucial for farming and solute transfer. Estimating the drainage proportion over a large area often involves labour-intensive procedures. This paper presents a cost-effective methodology for drainage monitoring. We assume that drained areas induce ground motion and can be detected and analysed using MTInSAR through satellite radar data. Our test with Sentinel-1 data validates this theory and even identifies a potential drained area. Notably, 98% of the verified drainage polygons exhibit subsidence. The drainage status can be traced via movement modelling. Moreover, we conducted a cross-comparison of our results with precipitation and underground water level.
