Abstract:
We present an efficient way to perform azimuth spectral extension for SAR data taken using TOPS mode and a highly squinted geometry. When efficient focusing is sought, the azimuth frequency wrapped TOPS data must be unwrapped, but time wrapping is admissible. This rearrangement can be efficiently made during transformation from azimuth time domain to azimuth spectral domain. Spectral extension is efficiently performed as part of this transformation, and can be achieved with a very small amount of padding.
