Abstract:
In order to avoid substantial damage in the event of a prolonged blackout, an islanding algorithm is required that can reliably resupply critical infrastructures (CRITIS) as quickly as possible. By building a stable microgrid, the supply of electrical energy of CRITIS can be ensured outside the capacity of their typical emergency power concepts. This publication presents an algorithm that assists in building up a microgrid within a distribution grid during the event of a prolonged blackout. The core task of the algorithm is to determine the interconnection order of the grid components on the basis of predefined priorities when expanding the microgrid. The algorithm is part of a concept including a modular regulation software application which executes the Islanding-algorithm. To demonstrate the algorithms’ functionality, it is applied to a simulated exemplary grid.
