Abstract:
This work deals with the investigation on methods for the determination of soft magnetic material properties under mechanical stress for two-dimensional material characterization. In this activity, the influence of the specimen’s shape and the geometry of the measurement setup on the accuracy of the characterization methods of magnetic properties is quantified by finite element simulations. The focus is on the accuracy investigation of the methods for determination of magnetic field intensity and flux density. The specimen’s shape was optimized in order to get a homogeneous distribution of magnetic flux density in the measurement area. The test setup was designed with respect to an accurate acquisition of magnetic field intensity in the specimen. Measurement results obtained for the proposed novel test setup and for a standard single-sheet-tester show a good agreement.
