Optimised large-scale production of plastic-bonded magnetic rotors for small motors

Abstract:
Plastic-bonded injection-molded hard ferrite and NdFeB magnets are often used for small motors. To implement economical production while maintaining high quality, the entire manufacturing process must be considered and optimised. Thus, manufacturing process costs and material costs can be reduced considerably. By way of example, we show that the use of rare earths can also be reduced by over 30%.
