Long-standing concerns about the efficacy, complexity and cost of robotic automation have contributed towards a slower than anticipated rollout of robots in some industries, particularly in the SME sector. However, with the upheaval caused by the global pandemic forcing companies worldwide to adapt quickly to a ‘new normal’, are collaborative robots set to break down the barriers and open the floodgates for a robotic future?
