Abstract:
More and more data are available, thanks to the temporal or spatial revisit of the same SAR sensor or the increasing diversity of SAR sensors. Therefore, it is natural to try to use all these data at our disposal to obtain the best possible results in terms of classification, for instance. The use of temporal data acquired under similar conditions is becoming more and more frequent in SAR applications. However, the use of path diversity of acquisitions for a chosen satellite or multi-frequency data is rare. In this paper, a method based on differential entropy is presented, which allows obtaining a measurement using data with different polarizations, viewing angles, or even frequencies. This method reduces the speckle on an image and thus allows many applications, like detection or classification. This article presents a quick example of road detection using an edge detection method; in this case, using multiple data with differential entropy improves automatic detection.
