Abstract:
Trees, due to their multiscale structure, induce significant backscattering in several frequency bands. Besides, trees, due to wind displacement, induce a Doppler shift that can cause trouble to detection and identification algorithms. Here, we will present a dynamic 3D model to be used in EM simulation, notably for high-resolution SAR imaging. First, a realistic 3D model is created, then, ray-tracing is used to determine visibility and, finally, an animated EM model is computed. In the end, the model is incorporated in a simulation pipeline in order to form SAR images.
