Abstract:
The use of PZT in extreme environments can result in depolarisation, as a consequence of reverse bias, uniaxial stress in the poling direction, or exposure to high temperatures/thermal shock. Ionix Advanced Technologies have developed a material which can withstand extremes in temperature and high pressure, operating up to at least 450 °C and 90 MPa simultaneously. The coercive field in these materials is > 14 kV/mm at 150 °C.
