Abstract:
The increasing use of sensor subsystems in modern embedded systems as well as the increasing complexity of their firmware requires a model-based design approach to meet the stringent requirements of timing behavior, power consumption, and time-to-market in development. This paper proposes a firmware model based on Scenario-Aware Data Flow (SADF) graphs and shows its suitability for obtaining estimates of critical properties such as timing, jitter, and energy consumption early in the design process.
