Abstract:
NASA’s Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) is the next-generation full waveform Lidar mission promising to provide measurements of forest vertical structure and biomass globally after its deployment on the ISS in 2019. Towards enhanced structural products, the potentials of the combination of X-band TanDEM-X single-pass interferometric coherences and Lidar waveforms are currently being investigated. In this work, experi-mental results are shown and discussed with the objective of relating the spatial variation (at a given scale) of the interferometric phase center and Lidar waveform attributes in different forest ecosystems.
