Abstract:
We experimentally demonstrate all-optical FEC coding scheme consisting of all-optical HNLFbased wavelength converters and XOR gates with (7, 5)8 convolutional code. The proposed scheme offers 3.5 dB net coding gain at BER = 10(exp −9) with DPSK-modulated RZ-format signals at 10 Gbps.
