Abstract:
In this paper we present concepts, realisations and the measured verification of four different carrier suppression approaches for the European UHF ISM band. First the concepts where explained and the board implementation is shown. Second the measured results are presented with Tx / Rx isolation measurements and plots of the spectrum. An analog carrier suppressions up to 58 dB is realized with the implemented circuits. Furthermore, in the following we compare the measured results of isolation, Tx insertion loss, Rx insertion loss and the ratio of Carrier Signal Level to transponder signal level and rate them under the RF aspects of UHF RFID reader implementation. In the further Work the next steps for the following investigation aspects where defined.
