Abstract:
This paper discusses the use of iterative adaptive approach (IAA) and SParse Iterative Covariance-based Estimation method (SPICE) to form super-resolution Doppler beam sharpening (DBS) images in the wide-area surveillance mode. Experimental results with real data set show that both the methods form higher quality DBS images than the conventional FFT-based method. Images obtained via SPICE-based method have better resolution with some details lost as compared to the IAA-based method.
