Abstract:
The paper presents a concept for a flow control based on the use of the LEON2 microprocessor to compute SAR images in real time on an FPGA. The LEON2 is embedded in an existing hardware framework that was previously controlled by MATLAB, but this control flow is too slow for the real-time capabilities needed. The control is described in the context of the overall system, which consists of an RF frontend and an AD converter.
