Abstract:
IEC TC57 Working group 17 is currently developing a communication concept for the integration of DER based on IEC 61850 for market and network operators. A standardization project has been started to specify the DER system hierarchies, functional and administration requirements and communication interfaces. The paper will describe the status of the work and will discuss current results. Examples of architectures of DER systems will show the concept of the integration with generic IEC 61850 interfaces.
