Abstract:
A general class of codes capable of near-outage performance on the block fading channel with any number of independent fading coefficients is proposed. The code class requires fewer restrictions on the graph structure than previously proposed methods and demonstrate comparable performance. In addition, it is demonstrated via simulations that the proposed codes can be adapted for use on varying block fading channels, through the use of a simple puncturing scheme.
