Abstract:
In this paper we address the sum rate maximization problem for a one-way amplify-and-forward relaying system with a full-duplex relay. This optimization problem which requires the joint source and relay precoding design is in general nonconvex. We propose different convex optimization based suboptimal schemes for different system settings. Moreover, we derive a gradient projection based algorithm which can be used as a benchmark. Simulation results show that a significant gain can be obtained over a half-duplex relaying system by using the proposed methods.
