Abstract:
Basic principle of operation and analysis of a novel self-excitation method developed for induction machines used in generating mode of operation is presented. The aim of the development is to make induction generators suitable for application in Distributed Power Generation (DPG) systems used for utilizing renewable and waste energies, however, the possible field of application is wider. The theoretical considerations, design and analysis of the system are relied on computer simulation techniques and confirmed by test results.
