Abstract:
In this paper, a novel SAR sensor scheme is introduced as a cognitive microwave imaging sensor. The novel SAR sensor is featured by waveform agile and feedback optimization. The waveform of the novel SAR sensor is designed according to the prior-knowledge of scene or target and the requirement from applications. With the help of feedback optimization, the novel SAR sensor has a strong adaptive capacity to the environment and target. The data collected by the waveform agile SAR sensor is optimized for a special application and so a high quality of data can be yielded. The high quality data makes the complexity of post-processing and interpretation to the SAR image reduced greatly. The structure of the waveform agile SAR sensor and waveform design scheme is discussed detailed in this paper and some simulation results are also presented.
