Abstract:
This paper presents the use of the target amplitude estimate obtained for each detection in the radar signal processing in the ground moving target tracking algorithm. With the presented method, the measurement error modeled in the tracking algorithm can be set according to the strength of the target return. This leads to a better accuracy of the tracking result both with respect to the track state root mean squared error and the track consistency.
