Abstract:
This paper presents the use of a two-step nulling (TSN) approach for STAP applied to real data containing intentional RF interference. Although STAP can mitigate both jammer and clutter interference simultaneously it can be of advantage to exploit a priori knowledge to obtain clutter-free data from which a better estimate of the jamming-plus-noise component can be made. This paper presents two state of the art methods for two-step nulling and compares their performance based on simulations and real data.
