Abstract:
Collecting and processing of personal data in AAL scenarios raise serious issues about data privacy protection. The German legal framework which defines comprehensive requirements for data privacy therefore applies to AAL systems, too. These requirements can only be partially fulfilled by conventional IT security measures, but also need further organizational or technical measures tailored for data privacy protection. Dedicated solutions for AAL systems are presented in this paper and mapped to the corresponding requirements.
