Abstract:
In recent years, the consumer electronics market has emerged as the largest and most quickly growing MEMS market segment. This has created large opportunities for companies interested in supplying MEMS sensors for consumer applications. This paper highlights the general opportunity for MEMS in the consumer electronics market, market penetration of MEMS microphones and accelerometers, and the benefits and drawbacks that should be evaluated prior to market entry.
