Abstract:
This paper addresses the rural broadband access network design, subject to technical and economic modeling including regulation, revenue, funding, and time period. An effective design strategy is proposed to find the cost-benefits solutions for rural areas. All cost modeling is realized by Detecon toolset. Based on one rural case in Germany, different key parameters have also been studied comprehensively. It is aimed to come up with an accurate approximation of the total costs payable by any particular rural community in lieu of broadband services at sufficient throughput.
