Abstract:
This paper presents the Polar Format Algorithm for Circular SAR based on signal model analysis. Considering the three-dimensional (3D) spectrum of single point target is 3D curved surface in CSAR mode, to save the interpolation along the height direction and insure the accuracy, this algorithm projects the spectrum to 2D plane by multiplying a phase function of height, and then imaging at each height. By two steps of phase compensation, this algorithm also corrects the high terms of the range cell migration (RCM) to enable full image quality over large scenes without image defocus. Finally, the algorithm is validated experimentally.
