Abstract:
This paper describes the minimum mean square error (MMSE) SAR imaging algorithm for systems using multidimensional waveform encoding. This algorithm can reconstruct the wide swath scene with fine resolution using statistical properties of the targets and noise. Especially, for the SAR system using orthogonal waveform encoding, it avoids the problems of orthogonality ambiguity. Kalman filter is the recursive implementation of MMSE solution and we investigate its implementation.
