Abstract:
This paper addresses land-cover classification by ALOS/PALSAR polarimetric interferometry data using the su-pervised complex Wishart classifier. The test data was classified into 6 land-cover types with an overall accuracy exceeds 80%. In particular, water, paddy and forest areas are accurately classified. Interferometry played an im-portant role in discriminating confusing land-cover types that have similar scattering characteristics.
