Abstract:
A method is presented to improve and to simplify the interpretation of high resolution repeat pass SAR images. The method is characterized by exploitation of basic qualities, which can be directly extracted from the color representation of the three features: coefficient of variation (CoV), amplitude (Am), and coherence (Coh). The combined evaluation of these three features can especially be used to identify regions dominated by volume scatterers, rough surfaces and smooth surfaces. The method is presented using of repeat pass TerraSAR-X spotlight images of Frankfurt airport in Germany.
