Abstract:
This work deals with measurements of natural gas volume by means of pressure differential devices. Causes of additional errors of flow rate and volume measurement due to the influence of heat exchange processes are analysed and the additional errors of gas temperature measurement are classified. Mathematical models are developed to calculate the additional errors of gas temperature measurement and the subsequent errors of gas flow rate and volume measurement. Measures are proposed in order to eliminate the influence of heat exchange processes on the results of volume measurement in systems based on pressure differential devices and other metering systems where gas temperature is measured.
