Abstract:
We demonstrate a compact dual polarization optical hybrid achieved by the integration of polarization beam splitters and 90deg-hybrids using silica-based planar lightwave circuit. The fabricated device exhibited sufficient characteristics for coherent systems such as DP-QPSK.
