Abstract:
MIMO channel measurements at different UHF frequencies have been made in an urban vehicular environment. The data show that the spatial diversity decreases with frequency, attributed to an increase in scattering near the mobile receiver, resulting in weaker angular multipath components. The spatial structure of the channel changes more slowly, however, at lower frequencies, leading to less degradation in capacity when outdated channel state information is available.
